Overview
PhD studentship at the University of Birmingham in Birmingham.
Focus: develop novel multivariate statistical methods for the analysis of serological data. Multiplex immunoassay data will serve as a major case study, with methods having wider applicability to other omics applications.
The project will build upon recently developed latent variable modeling methodology and will be conducted in collaboration with Prof. Chris Drakeley (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine), Prof. Jonas Wallin (Lund University), and public health experts from The Task Force for Global Health in Atlanta.
All methodological developments will be implemented in a comprehensive, publicly available R package with extensive documentation.
Funding covers October 2026 to September 2029 and includes stipend, tuition, and research consumables.
