Project B01 "Invasive Futures: Land-use transitions" of the Collaborative Research Center CRC-TRR 228 "Future Rural Africa. Future-making and social-ecological transformation" at the University of Bonn invites applications for a PhD student position (70%) (f/m/d). /nSupervised by Jun. Prof. Dr. Janina Dierks, Institute of Crop Science and Resource Conservation, University of Bonn. /nThe research will address whether agricultural management practices differentially affect the patterns and intensity of plant invasion and assess further linkages to soil water dynamics and crop performance. Research includes field experiments in Kenya and linking soil and plant data to economic experimental data. /nThe position starts April 1, 2026, is limited to 3 years and 9 months, and is part time (70%). Location: Bonn, Germany. /nApplication deadline: 2026-01-18.
