FAQs
- The UCalgary Doctor of Medicine three-year-program (Undergraduate Medical Education) has welcomed about 150 students per year over the past 10 years. In fall 2023, the Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education increased funding to support the addition of seats in the Doctor of Medicine program to increase physician availability into our communities. The incremental increase (10 in 2023, 20 in 2024 and 30 in 2025) added 60 additional seats to the Doctor of Medicine program. A minimum of 85% of seats are reserved for Alberta residents.
