The Department of English, Germanic and Romance Studies invites applications for two three-year PhD scholarships starting from 1 September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter./nThe department is home to research and teaching in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German languages and their associated literatures, cultures and societies./nParticular interest in proposals that explore: a) the implications of AI for key areas in modern languages (e.g. human–machine translation, language and culture didactics), or b) cultural memory studies from a literary, cultural, historical, linguistic, or interdisciplinary perspective./nThe PhD programme is three years of full-time studies (180 ECTS)./nSalary range starts at approximately DKK 31,242 (EUR 4,184) + an 18.07 % pension contribution./nApplication via the University of Copenhagen online application (see application link)./nDepartment/Location: Department of English, Germanic and Romance Studies, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark.
