Many international PhD students are hired as PhD Fellows and receive a salary (approx. DKK 30,000–35,000/month before tax; starting gross salary approx. DKK 31,242 in 2025) and typically do not pay tuition. Self-funded or externally funded students must document a minimum monthly allowance of 14,172 DKK (2025 level).
