Overview
We hereby invite applications for a PhD scholarship at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen, enrolled at the Faculty of Social Sciences under Copenhagen Graduate School of Social Sciences./nThe position starting date is 1 August 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter./nThe successful candidate will be part of the research project “Moralizing Politics: The Practice of Judging Others” (MoPo), funded by the European Research Council, led by Professor Christian Rostbøll. The PhD project covers the case "Cancel Culture: Human Equality and Respect" and will examine cancel culture through practice-sensitive reflective equilibrium, combining qualitative case study with moral philosophy and democratic theory. The candidate will formulate their own PhD project within this framework and collaborate with team members to develop a normative theory on morally judging others in democratic politics./nPhD program options: three-year full-time study (5+3) or four-year full-time study (4+4).
