Fees and Funding
If awarded a UCPH PhD scholarship, tuition is covered and the university pays a monthly salary (~DKK 28,000–33,000 before taxes). Self-funded international students face tuition: approx. DKK 150,000 total (Health) or DKK 225,000 total (other faculties) for 3 years; Faculty of Science approx. DKK 80,000 per year. International applicants with external funding must document minimum monthly living costs (DKK 14,172 as of 2025). From May 2025 UCPH will no longer accept self-paying PhD students; applicants must be employed by UCPH or have a formal external grant.
