Overview
Full Time: 40 hours per week/nFixed term: for 36 months/nThe University of Edinburgh is seeking a medically qualified individual (with current GMC registration) to pursue a Clinical PhD funded by the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic on the Rowling Scholars scheme. The scholarship offers a salary on a clinical scale while the fellow studies towards a PhD in discovery or translation in neurodegenerative disorders. The project will be co-designed and aligned with the research strategy of the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic, with particular focus on multiple sclerosis (MS), motor neuron disease (MND), Parkinson’s and dementias. The PhD Fellow will maintain clinical competencies by contributing to clinic lists and attending occasional NHS Lothian specialist neurology clinics at the Anne Rowling Clinic, and will assist with delivery of research studies. The post is full-time (40 hours per week), expected to start in August 2026, with some flexibility.
