Project Overview:/nThis is an opportunity to conduct fully funded interdisciplinary research under the ‘Sustainable Transitions – Leverhulme Doctoral Training Programme’ at the University of Essex./nThe study will explore perspectives from key stakeholders and relevant legal frameworks in relation to a just transition to benefit developing economies and then explore action-based alternatives for achieving a transformative just transition./nInterdisciplinary collaboration between EBS and ELS will examine roles of dominant and counter discourses and how legal frameworks (including human rights and environmental sustainability principles) serve as interventions to address global challenges./nTraining and support include the Sustainable Transitions training programme, access to Proficio funds, and membership of the University of Essex ‘Centre for Environment and Society’.
