The Institute for Physiology I, University of Freiburg, Germany is offering a post-doctoral research position: In vitro octa-patch recordings in the dentate gyrus and hilus of mice. We are looking for an experienced postdoc to join the group and to perform in vitro whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiological recordings in mouse hippocampal slice preparations to examine connectivity motives among inhibitory interneurons and principal cells. We offer a very well-equipped laboratory, scientific and administrative support. Applicants should have ample experience in slice or in vivo electrophysiology as well as the ability to perform creative and independent research. Additionally, applicants should possess technical knowledge and be experienced in the handling of rodents.
