PhD in neuroscience

Doctoral Researcher in the field of Neurovascular Biology. The Korhonen research group at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki, and the Wihuri Research Institute is recruiting a doctoral researcher for a PhD project in neurovascular biology. Our group studies neurovascular communication and its impact on central nervous system (CNS) function. The PhD project will examine how the vasculature regulates the function of oligodendrocyte lineage cells and CNS health in aging and repair, using advanced in vivo and in vitro models combined with molecular, imaging, and transcriptomic approaches. Work will be conducted at Biomedicum Helsinki on the Meilahti campus. Position from 01.02.2026 until 30.08.2029, or according to agreement.
