The Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Financial Technology (FinTech) program is an emerging engineering discipline that focuses on applying technological innovations to financial practices. It is offered by the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the Faculties of Business Administration, Law, and Social Science. This multidisciplinary approach aims to equip students with both technical skills and a broad understanding of the legal, economic, and societal impacts of FinTech. The program was launched in the 2017/18 academic year, making it the first of its kind in Hong Kong.

Fees and Funding

The estimated total cost of attendance per year for non-local students, approximately HK$280,000, includes tuition, food, books, transportation, and pocket money. A caution fee of HK$450 is payable upon enrollment, which is refundable upon withdrawal. The hostel fee for 2025-2026 was approximately HK$17,000, with 2026-2027 fees yet to be confirmed.
