The Vastenhouwlab group at the Center for Integrative Genomics at the University of Lausanne invites applications for a PhD student position in transcription regulation, focusing on HOT regions, nuclear organization, and transcription condensates. HOT regions are genomic regions with unusually high occupancy of transcription factors; recently identified HOT regions in zebrafish were found on different chromosomes that come together in nuclear space, suggesting clustering may influence transcription via condensate formation.
