Overview
The PhD position is part of the CART-4D project, a “Made in Luxembourg” collaboration between the University of Luxembourg and ARSPECTRA./nThe doctoral candidate will be embedded in the Computational Mechanics (Legato) group and enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Complex Systems Science./nDepending on background and interests, the PhD may include: Development of error-controlled biomechanical models in SOFA / FEniCSx / SOniCS for real-time use on AR devices; Design of Bayesian neural-network surrogates and graph-based models for tissue deformation and brain shift; Coupling of physics-based and data-driven models, studying when and how to switch between them in real time; Integration with ARSPECTRA’s software stack, e.g. marker tracking, SLAM, gaze tracking, and participation in phantom and clinical studies with CHL./nLocation: Belval Campus./nContract Type: Fixed Term Contract 36 Month./nWork Hours: Full Time 40.0 Hours per Week./nYearly gross salary for every PhD at the UL is EUR 41976 (full time).
