Overview

This studentship is open to UK students only/nThe School of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham welcomes PhD applications in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry./nThe studentship is fully funded (fees and stipend) for eligible/nUK students/n./nThe PhD award provides/n4-year funding to commence in October 2026/n./nApplicants should have (or expect to obtain by the start date) at least a 2.1 degree in Chemistry, Physics or related subject./nThe selected PhD candidate will work with Prof Elena Besley on computational modelling of next-generation semiconductors made from atomically thin materials in a/ngroundbreaking £6 million EPSRC Programme Grant to reduce the soaring energy demands of artificial intelligence/n.
