Funded by the University of Nottingham through one of its PhD Studentship Awards, this fully funded (stipend at UKRI rates, PhD fees (for UK home students only), and research costs) three-year full-time PhD is available to start on the 01/02/2026./nThe overall theme of this PhD programme is investigating how population-level public health policies in the UK may contribute to declines in dementia incidence./nThis PhD studentship is embedded within an NIHR Advanced Fellowship (NIHR304370: Studying the impact of public health policies on dementia risk reduction in the UK using the latest developments in causal inference and a health inequalities approach)./nThe successful candidate will expand the policies studied by adding retirement to the existing policies being evaluated on alcohol, smoking, nutrition, and immunisation.
