PhD Research Fellow position in Pharmaceutics at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Oslo (place of work: Life Science Building, Oslo)./nThe position is part of the convergence environment PERMEATE - Peptides for Membrane Targeting and Synergistic Drug Delivery, funded by UiO:Life Science. The project focuses on overcoming cell membrane barriers using peptides to facilitate targeted delivery of therapeutic molecules, combining expertise from computational sciences, chemistry, pharmacy and medicine./nKey project goals include identifying peptides to target and permeate cell membranes, exploring peptide-small molecule synergistic effects, using peptides for targeting drug delivery vehicles such as lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), creating experimental protocols for cancerous, healthy human and microbial model cell membranes, establishing predictive models for peptide-induced transport and cell membrane deformation, and creating a multidisciplinary training hub./nStarting date no later than October 1, 2026. Fellowship period is three years; a fourth year may be considered involving 25 percent other career-promoting work (teaching, supervision, and/or research assistance) depending on qualification and department needs.
