Overview
Position as PhD fellow in Medical Applications of Nuclear Physics is available at the Department of Physics. The position is funded by the University of Oslo (UiO) as part of the Norwegian Nuclear Research Centre (NNRC). Starting date no later than October 1, 2026./nThe fellowship period is three years./nA fourth year may be considered, and it will involve 25 % of other career-promoting work, which normally consists of teaching and/or supervision./nOne of the research focuses of the Nuclear Physics group is the application of nuclear physics for medical applications. This includes studies of novel production pathways for medically relevant radionuclides./nThis project is focused on emerging alpha-emitting radionuclides for targeted alpha therapy (TAT). The PhD student will be part of a project to re-establish the production of the alpha emitter 211At at the Oslo Cyclotron Laboratory (OCL) at UiO.
