This doctoral researcher position is part of the strategic spearhead projects funded by Infotech Oulu for the years 2026-2028. This specific project is titled: AIVuTeP - Open Source Artificial Intelligence Vulnerability Testing Platform. Research focus and objectives include studying security and safety as AI ethics requirements, the role of AI vulnerability testing, studying the discourse surrounding AI vulnerabilities, monitoring and analyzing recorded AI incidents to understand real-world harm, and contributing to the development of an open-source platform for identifying safety and security issues in AI systems. The exact topic and scope of the doctoral thesis will be decided with the candidate.
