The position is a Doctoral Researcher role at the Center for Machine Vision and Signal Analysis (CMVS), Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu./nThe role is part of the InfoTech research project “ThinkControl: Non-Invasive Brain Signal Decoding for Neural 3D Human Motion Reconstruction and Transfer Using Latent Diffusion Models” (2026–2029) and focuses on decoding EEG signals into continuous latent representations for fine-grained control of 3D human motion./nLocation: Oulu, Pohjois-Pohjanmaa, Finland. The position is fixed-term for 3 years starting 1.2.2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. Supervision by Assistant Professor Haoyu Chen and joint supervision by postdoc researcher Delfin Tursin. Work includes collaboration with experts in neuroscience and clinical studies, VR-based stroke rehabilitation, and international collaborations.
