  It’s common to receive an admission offer without funding, but decisions on scholarships can continue into February–May or beyond. You may still secure funding afterward via college or external sources.

  Applicant's academic excellence, writing quality, research potential, originality of proposal, clarity and feasibility, relevant research experience or training, and availability of supervisory support.
• Is funding required for admission?
  
  No. Whether or not you've secured funding does not affect the committee’s decision. However, you must demonstrate sufficient funds to cover fees and living costs before a college confirms an offer.
• Is contacting potential supervisors necessary?
