- PhD students receive supervision from departmental staff and have access to wider academic and pastoral support services. The School houses three clinical research facilities focused on autism, anxiety and depression, and speech and language therapy, and provides purpose-built research facilities.
- The university offers a range of PhD studentships and bursaries, including the Magdalen Vernon Studentship and SEDarc PhD Studentships, which are open to both UK and international applicants. These typically cover fees, provide a stipend, and include a research training support grant.
- For students starting in 2025/26, annual fees are £5,006 for UK/Home students and between £21,250 and £23,900 for international students, depending on the fee band. Part-time and distance learning options are also available with proportionate fees.
- The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences supervises research in areas including clinical language sciences, neuroscience, psychology, and psycholinguistics.
