• How are advisors assigned?
  
  A temporary advisor is assigned upon admission. As you progress, you'll form a PhD supervisory committee consisting of faculty aligned with your research interests. Faculty commitment is a key part of admission and mentorship
• What research fields are supported?
  
  Broad departmental strengths include AI, computer architecture, distributed systems, graphics, cybersecurity, formal methods, HCI, robotics, networks, and VLSI design, among others .
• How many credits are required?
  
  PhD candidates must complete 20 hours of coursework beyond the Master’s degree, plus dissertation research hours. If entering with just a Bachelor’s, additional coursework is required as advised by the supervisory committee
• Are prerequisite or specific coursework required?
  
  No specific prerequisites are mandated. However, applicants are expected to demonstrate solid preparation in mathematics and core CS topics like data structures, architecture, algorithms, and operating systems
• Can I apply with a Bachelor’s degree directly?
