Overview
PhD position in ecological anxiety and climate emotions at the Department of Psychology, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Odense M, Denmark. The PhD student will be part of the project “What is Eco-Anxiety? Capturing Feelings of the Climate Crisis” funded by the SDU Climate Cluster. The interdisciplinary project combines methods from philosophy, psychology, and literature studies to investigate experiences of climate anxiety and related emotions. The PhD is fully funded for three years and has a start date of August 15th, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The project will use existing short-story data written by Danish high school students and involve generating new qualitative interview data to develop a taxonomy and conceptual mapping of climate-related emotions.
