Project summary:/nCommunity Benefit Funds (CBFs) from low-carbon projects are proliferating in the UK and beyond./nCBFs are not usually regionally coordinated, focusing instead on delivering local-level community benefits./nThis PhD mobilises systems-thinking to explore innovative polycentric governance approaches to CBFs that deliver both community-level benefits and support regional sustainability transitions./nLocation: Glasgow/nStart date: 1/5/2026/nThe PhD student will be part of the UKRI funded JUST-Systems consortium; a £5.6 million, five-year multi-institute research programme, that places people and communities at the heart of the Net Zero transition./nThe PhD student will be based within the Strathclyde Institute for Sustainable Communities (SISC)./nPrimary Supervisor: Professor Matthew Hannon/nAdditional Supervisor/s: Dr Jennifer Roberts
