• What are the main components of the PhD programme?
  
  You will undertake independent and original research, write a thesis, and defend it in a viva voce (oral examination). You will also receive support from expert supervisors and have access to researcher development programmes
• What funding opportunities are available?
  
  The John Anderson Research Studentship Scheme (JARSS) and other university or externally funded studentships may be available for outstanding candidates. Faculties set their own deadlines, so you should contact the Law School early if you wish to be considered for funding
