Project focusing on social-cognitive predictors of peer victimisation and mental health difficulties in children and young people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)./nStart date: 1 October 2026/nDuration: 3.5 years/nLocation: University of Surrey, Surrey, United Kingdom/nThe successful candidate will evaluate experiences of mental health and bullying in people with FASD and explore social-cognitive factors including mentalizing and deception detection. The role involves using informant questionnaire surveys, interviews, eye tracking technology and behavioural observation methods, conducting advanced statistical and qualitative analyses, and completing systematic and/or meta-analytic reviews. The student will work with stakeholders and experts by experience and disseminate findings via engagement with individuals, families, stakeholders, academic papers and conferences.
