PhD in Physical Chemistry

PhD studentship (HeLix) on atomic-scale modelling of helium–surface interactions for advanced helium-beam lithography, based at the University of Surrey, Surrey, United Kingdom. The project will utilise computer simulations to investigate interactions between metastable particles and material surfaces at the atomic level, modelling energy transfer, atomic motion, and surface response to explain lithographic resolution. Work involves combining theoretical and computational techniques, collaboration with an industrial partner, and investigation of surface dynamics, diffusion, and self-assembly.
