The Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto is a flagship undergraduate engineering program designed for students seeking an intense academic challenge. Offered by the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, this program follows a unique '2+2' curriculum structure. The first two years build a strong foundation in engineering, math, science, computing, humanities, and teamwork. In the final two years, students specialize in one of eight majors for accelerated, discipline-specific learning, including Aerospace, Biomedical Systems, and Robotics Engineering. The program is delivered at an academically demanding level and an accelerated pace, culminating in an independent research thesis in the fourth year. Students also gain a minimum of 600 hours of practical experience, which can be fulfilled through industry work or research, or the Professional Experience Year Co-op Program.
