PhD position within the JUST ART project focused on creating common grounds for climate justice through artistic research. The research will develop a ‘rurban’ lens to examine rural-urban (dis)connections and land-water relationships (cases including Twente region and Aruba), engage with environmental art-activism to re-story land-water relationships and more-than-human voices, collaborate with artists, cultural institutions and societal partners, and explore art-activism for climate justice. The position is based at the University of Twente (KiTeS section, Technology, Policy & Society department) in Enschede, with fieldwork in and outside the Netherlands (e.g., Aruba). The role includes collaboration within the JUST ART Consortium and affiliation with the RUrban Futures Collective and ArtEZ, University of the Arts, Enschede.
