Minimum GPA

Applicants must have a degree comparable to a U.S. bachelor's (international applicants must have comparable credentials). Minimum GPA: 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours or a master's with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. The department does not require GRE scores. No work experience requirement was specified.

The Department guarantees five years of funding for PhD students. Each accepted student will be given guaranteed funding (salary and tuition remission) at the 50% level for the 9-month academic year, conditional on remaining in good standing.
