The Department of Chemistry for Life Sciences conducts research and education in analytical chemistry, biochemistry and organic chemistry./nWe are looking for a PhD student in analytical chemistry to develop analytical methods for mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) using direct infusion mass spectrometry and analytical strategies to target specific metabolites with quantitative MSI./nA concrete goal will be to perform spatial metabolomics of liver tissues (down to single-cell resolution) to determine the pathways underlying Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)./nPlacement: Uppsala, Sweden.
