PhD in Biotechnology

The PhD position is at the Department of Immunology, Genetics and Pathology, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden./nThe PhD candidate will participate in a research project aimed at unraveling the spatial and molecular complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME)./nThe project involves the development of high-throughput, high-resolution spatial biological methods, experimental method development and optimization, generation of spatial and multi-omics datasets, and integration of transcriptional and epigenetic data./nThe candidate will apply these approaches to archived clinical tumor samples to identify clinically relevant features of the TME associated with tumor progression and therapeutic response./nThe position involves data analysis in collaboration with computational researchers, interpretation of results in a biological and clinical context, and dissemination of findings through scientific publications and conference presentations./nScope of employment 100%. Placement: Uppsala.
