PhD in Ethics

The Department of Philosophy is an internationally recognized research environment, and conducts teaching and research in many core areas of philosophy. We welcome applications from candidates in theoretical philosophy (e.g., philosophy of language, philosophy of science, and metaphysics) as well as practical philosophy (e.g., ethics and political philosophy). The Department might decide to hire two candidates./nThe employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5, §§ 1–7. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date September 1, 2026 or as otherwise agreed. Placement: Uppsala./nStarting salary for PhD students according to local collective agreement is currently 33,000 SEK/month.
