PhD in Material Science/Engineering

Admission to Doctoral (PhD) Studies in the subject Engineering Sciences with specialization in Electronics at the Division of Solar Cell Technology, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Uppsala University./nProject purpose: to study thin film solar cell materials at the atomic level using advanced synchrotron methods with focus on understanding and reducing instability and performance decline./nWork includes solar cell fabrication, X-ray materials characterization, data analysis and publication of research results; experiments at international synchrotron radiation facilities (MAX IV, Soleil, Diamond, Petra III) are foreseen. Location: Uppsala. Starting date: 1st of May 2026 or as agreed upon. Scope of employment: 100% (full time).
