PhD in Statistics

PhD position within the ERC project FoRECAST at Utrecht University, Department of Information and Computing Sciences, Software Technology group. The position focuses on Differential and Probabilistic Programming, developing theory (probabilistic and differential inference algorithms and proofs of correctness and efficiency) and systems (high performance, functional array programming DSLs) to tackle applications such as experimental design and machine learning for science. The role includes research leading to a PhD degree, collaboration with the FoRECAST team and international partners, and some teaching duties within BSc and MSc programmes.
