- No, the PhD program does not offer a terminal master’s degree. Students may earn a master’s degree en route to the PhD. The only standalone master’s degrees offered are the M.Ed. in Child Studies and M.Ed. in Quantitative Methods, both through the Department of Psychology and Human Development
- Students are admitted to work toward the PhD in one of the following areas: Clinical Science Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience Cognition in Context Developmental Science Neuroscience Quantitative Methods
- The PhD program is jointly offered by the Department of Psychology (College of Arts and Science) and the Department of Psychology and Human Development (Peabody College). It is an interdisciplinary program focused on psychological theory and original empirical research, with strong emphasis on mentorship and individualized training
