At Ambitio, our goal is to support you every step of the way — from your first roadmap discussion to your final admit. Whether you are applying for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or a PhD, behind every stage is a dedicated team working on research, documents, reviews, and planning personalised to your goals.
We believe in clarity, fairness, and transparency. This policy is designed to help you understand how our refund process works, why certain conditions apply, and what you can expect if you decide to pause or discontinue. To ensure transparency, our refund policy is designed as a stage-based system. This means your eligibility for refunds depends on how far you have progressed in your program.
Why Is the Refund Policy Stage-Based?
Every student’s journey with Ambitio is highly personalised. From day one, our team begins tailoring strategies, documents, and plans to your specific profile, goals, and target universities. This isn’t a generic service — it involves hours of work from experienced mentors, editors, and admissions experts who prepare deliverables exclusively for you. Because of this, we follow a stage-based refund structure. At each stage, different types of work are completed — whether it’s your resume, guided projects, shortlists, or essays. As you progress, more intellectual effort and customised outputs are delivered, which cannot be transferred to another student or reused.

Fairness in Refunds
We recognize that life circumstances may change, and your plans may need to be adjusted. However, it is important to highlight that behind every deliverable is a team of highly skilled professionals — including editors, project mentors, supervisors, and admissions experts — who begin dedicating their time and expertise as soon as you commit.
Here’s how we ensure fairness in our refund approach:

We provide full refunds if no personalized work has been started (e.g., only the intro call or roadmap).

Once substantial work has started (such as profile building, project guidance, research proposal drafting, or shortlisting), refunds are issued proportionally based on the stage completed.

Once intellectual property has been delivered (e.g., resumes, SOPs, research proposals, essays, supervisor lists, or project outcomes), refunds are no longer possible. These outputs are custom-created and represent significant expert effort. However, to protect your value you will continue to receive revisions, edits, and iterations on these documents until you are fully satisfied.
Practical Examples
  • If a student pauses after “Roadmap Shared” → 100% refund eligible, as no personalized outputs are delivered yet.
  • If a student stops after receiving the first Resume Draft → 50% refund eligible, since profile-building work has started.
  • If a student stops after receiving their SOP (Statement of Purpose) draft → Non-refundable, as intellectual property has already been delivered, but unlimited revisions will be provided.
This approach ensures that refunds are both student-friendly and respectful of the expert effort already invested in your journey.
Refund Request & Processing
  • Refund requests must be initiated through official channels — either via the Ambitio App → Settings → Request Refund, or by emailing [email protected] with your registered email ID.
  • Each request is carefully reviewed by our Customer Success Team to verify eligibility based on your stage of progress and deliverables received.
  • Once approved, the refund is processed and automatically credited back to the original payment method used during enrollment. No additional bank details are required.
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after approval. Please note that delays caused by banks or payment gateways may extend this period and are outside Ambitio’s control.
  • Students will receive confirmation via email and in-app notifications once the refund has been successfully processed.
Terms & Conditions
  1. Refunds apply only to Ambitio’s program fee. Third-party costs such as university application fees, test registration charges, and courier fees are non-refundable.
  2. Refund eligibility is based strictly on service stage completion, not just the passage of time.
  3. Refund eligibility is based on the work delivered by us. Delays due to the student, such as late submission of documents, not attending calls, or repeatedly rescheduling meetings, will not qualify as grounds for a refund. If you face any issues with the Ambitio app while raising a refund request, you should email [email protected] so that your request is properly logged.
  4. Requests must be made through official channels — either via the Ambitio App or by email. Informal requests through WhatsApp or phone calls will not be processed.
  5. Refunds are always credited back to the original payment method used during enrollment.
  6. Processing time is 5–7 business days after approval. Banking/payment delays may extend this period.
  7. Delays caused by the student (e.g., not submitting documents on time) may impact eligibility for refunds.
  8. Programs may be paused for up to two future intakes in cases of medical or personal reasons. Refunds cannot be claimed for paused programs unless requested prior to the pause.
  9. Switching between UG, PG, or PhD programs is allowed by paying the difference in program fee. However, the original fee is non-refundable once services have been delivered.
  10. The final decision on refund eligibility rests with Ambitio’s senior operations team. Written explanations will always be provided.
  11. This refund policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be shared at onboarding and accessible in-app.
  12. Ambitio can suspend or cancel your subscription right away if you give false information, share or transfer access, use multiple logins, don’t pay, or break the Terms of Use. In such cases, access will stop immediately and no refund will be given.
  13. If a Force Majeure event occurs, Ambitio may suspend or end its services. Refunds, if any, will be on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion, after deducting applicable costs.
  14. Any refund amount and process will be decided solely by Ambitio’s management. Their decision will be final and binding, even if all other conditions are met.
Program-Specific FAQs
Refund requests are open to all UG/Nova students who have enrolled in a program but have not yet crossed certain major deliverables. This includes students who have only completed the intro call, received the roadmap, or started early profile building but not yet reached essay drafting or advanced project stages. Requests must be raised within the policy’s eligibility window to be considered.
Certain types of work are considered non-refundable because they involve intellectual property and customized outputs created specifically for you. These include finalized project outcomes, drafted or polished resumes, curated activity lists, university shortlists, and essay drafts (both personal and supplemental). Since these deliverables represent unique work that cannot be reused for another student, they are non-refundable once shared.
You are eligible for a full refund if you have only completed the introductory consultation call or if the roadmap has been shared with you within the first 7 days of enrollment and no other services have started. At this stage, minimal resources have been invested, so you receive your full program fee back without deductions.
Refund requests can be made directly through the Ambitio App by navigating to Settings → Request Refund. Alternatively, you may also email [email protected] with your registered email ID, payment details, and a brief explanation of your request. All refund requests must be made through official channels — requests sent over WhatsApp, direct calls, or informal messages cannot be processed.
Refunds are handled in two steps: Review Period: Our Customer Success team carefully evaluates your request within 3–5 business days, confirming the stage of services delivered. Processing Period: Once approved, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days and credited to your original payment method. Please note that external bank or payment gateway delays may extend this timeline slightly.
If you have already completed one academic, extracurricular, or social impact project under our guidance, refund eligibility reduces to 50%. This is because project guidance involves mentor time, customized planning, and dedicated outputs that represent substantial work completed on your behalf.
Once two projects (academic + extracurricular) have been completed, the maximum refund you can receive is capped at 50%. Even if you request a refund before shortlisting has been done, the project outputs are already delivered and count as substantial intellectual property.
No. Once any essay drafting has begun (including personal essays, CommonApp essays, or supplemental essays for specific universities), refunds are no longer available. Essays are unique and highly customized intellectual property tailored to your profile and cannot be reused or reassigned.
Refunds in installment-based payments are calculated by mapping the stage of progress after your most recent payment and applying the relevant stage-wise percentage. For example, if your second instalment unlocked essay drafting, and those essays have already been started, refunds may not apply even if earlier stages are eligible.
Yes. UG students are offered the flexibility to pause their program for up to two future intakes due to reasons like academic workload, exams, personal challenges, or financial constraints. While refunds cannot be issued for paused accounts where work has already been delivered, you retain the option to resume your program when ready.
No. Ambitio only refunds the program fee you pay to us directly. External costs — such as standardized test registration fees, application portal fees, or transcript courier charges — are paid to third parties and cannot be refunded by Ambitio.
If your refund request is not eligible, you will be notified clearly via the app and email with the reason for denial. However, you always have the right to appeal. In such cases, you may contact [email protected] , and your case will be reviewed again by a senior member of our operations team. The final decision is solely at the discretion of Ambitio’s senior operations team
