Students studying electrical, computer, software, and cyber security engineering receive over $250,000 in scholarships each year from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The department offers close to 50 distinct scholarship funds that have been generously donated by individuals and business benefactors. Each year, the College of Engineering also gives merit scholarships to existing students and scholarships to new students.Students must annually submit a scholarship application to the College of Engineering in order to be considered for all electrical and computer engineering as well as College of Engineering scholarships. The application is usually made available in December and must be submitted to the college by the beginning of February.

Google's education and scholarship programmes are designed to inspire and assist students in becoming future leaders in computing and technology by removing obstacles to entry. We've collaborated with Lime Connect, a nonprofit organisation that supports students with disabilities as they pursue education and potential jobs, to help university students with disabilities work toward their academic goals in the field of computer science as part of our commitment.

The goal of the Generation Google Scholarship: for Women in Computer Science is to support budding computer scientists in their pursuit of technological leadership. For the academic year 2022–2023, chosen students will receive a reward of 7,000 EUR (or its equivalent in their home country). Scholarships will be given out based on each applicant's demonstrated leadership skills, influence on diversity, and academic qualifications. All qualifying students who meet the prerequisites are eligible for the programme. Applications from women who are interested in computer science are especially welcomed.

DSU Rising Scholarship is offered by the Dakota State University . DSU Rising Scholarship is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is USD 5000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. Students must have taken the 12th grade to be eligible for this scholarship. To be eligible for this award, international students must take standardised examinations such as SAT.
