Overview

The BSc(Hons) in Medical Laboratory Science program at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for a career in Clinical Laboratory Science. Medical laboratory scientists conduct laboratory analysis of clinical samples to assist in disease diagnosis, treatment, risk assessment, and the investigation of underlying disease mechanisms. This program aims to produce competent and ethical medical laboratory scientists, combining rigorous educational standards with hands-on laboratory experiences and clinical training in Hong Kong medical laboratories. It also offers opportunities for overseas exchange activities and clinical attachments at overseas hospital laboratories to nurture global perspectives.
