Overview

The Biomedical Science (with Foundation Year) program at the University of Suffolk is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and skills required to progress to a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree. The program utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to cover the workings of the human body at molecular, cellular, organ, and systems levels, in both health and disease. NHS Learning Support Fund (LSF) (GBP 5,000) - Mental Health Nursing students may be eligible for a training grant of up to Â£5,000 per academic year, depending on circumstances.; International Merit Scholarship (2026/27) (GBP 2,000) - Automatic scholarship for international students who meet or exceed published entry requirements. Awards range from Â£1,000 to Â£3,000 based on academic achievements and level of study. Applied as fee discounts and received in each year of study (excluding sandwich/placement/study abroad years).; Early-Bird Incentive - International students joining in September 2026 who accept their offer and have their CAS issued by May 22, 2026, will receive a financial benefit.; Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship (GBP 4,000) - For international students demonstrating academic excellence and commitment to a health profession. Benefit: Â£4,000 per year of study, applied as a tuition fee reduction. Eligibility: conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible health program (including BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing) at the Ipswich campus, classified as international (Overseas for fee purposes) and self-funding, commencing studies in the 2025/6 academic year, studying full-time, and starting in Year 1 (Level 4) for undergraduate programs. Selection based on academic interview scores and prior academic achievements. 50 scholarships available for 2025 academic year, divided between September 2025 and January 2026 intakes.; University of Suffolk Bursary (GBP 500) - Open to full-time and part-time University of Suffolk students starting an undergraduate degree program.
