Overview

The BSc (Hons) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Management is a unique course, the only one of its kind in Scotland, designed to produce graduate-calibre aircraft maintenance engineers. Taught by staff with industrial experience in both military and civilian environments, the program combines academic and technical knowledge, understanding, and skills with personal qualities and leadership necessary for the dynamic aviation industry. It meets the syllabus requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UKCAA) Category B1.1 aircraft maintenance licence syllabus (EASA Part-66), offering the opportunity to obtain an Approved EASA and/or UKCAA Part 66 Certificate of Recognition in addition to an honours level degree, which can reduce the minimum aircraft maintenance experience required before applying for an aircraft maintenance licence.

Provides a tuition fee discount of Â£4,000 per year for undergraduate full-time, on-campus BEng (Hons) programmes. Year 4 tuition is free for Honour's degree students.; South Asia Scholarship - For students whose permanent residence is India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, or Sri Lanka. Provides a tuition fee discount of 10% for undergraduate courses of at least one year duration.; Aquaculture Support Scheme (GBP 1,250) - Amount ranges from Â£0.00 to Â£2,500.00.; Barns-Graham Assistance Award (GBP 1,000); Barns-Graham Travel Scholarship (GBP 1,500); UHI Perth Scholarship Fund (GBP 1,000) - To support current UHI Perth NC Level 6, HNC, HND, and year one, two, and three undergraduate degree students who wish to advance to their next year of study in 2026/27.; Digital Technology Bursaries (GBP 1,000) - To support current UHI students who wish to advance to their next year of study in 2026/27 and are working towards any qualification that would lead to a career in digital technology.; Canadian Government Federal Student Aid - Federal aid program for Canadian students.; US Government Federal Student Aid - Federal aid program for US students, only for on-campus courses at overseas institutions.
