The 3D Computer Animation program at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, offered through the Ian Gillespie Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media, is recognized as one of the best animation programs globally and the top program of its kind in Western Canada. This intensive curriculum fosters a comprehensive understanding and in-depth expertise in 3D animation and digital media. Students develop technical skills in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and character animation, alongside storytelling, filmmaking, and production skills for film and games. The program emphasizes hands-on training, industry-standard software, and collaborative projects, culminating in the creation of a professional-quality short film.
